Last weekend, I went to my grandparents' house in the countryside. On Saturday morning, we walked in the forest and saw many birds. In the afternoon, we played board games. On Sunday, my grandmother cooked a big lunch, and after that we watched a film together. I really enjoyed the weekend because I don't see my grandparents very often.
Passage 3 · B1
While cleaning the old attic, Sam found a wooden box covered in dust. Inside, there were several black-and-white photographs and a letter written in a language he didn't recognize. He decided to show the box to his grandmother, who immediately became very quiet. She explained that the box had belonged to her own grandfather, who had travelled to South America almost a hundred years before. Sam couldn't wait to learn more about his family's history.

"My neighbour has a very unusual pet: a parrot that can say more than fifty words. She got the parrot three years ago from a friend who was moving abroad and couldn't take it with him. At first, the parrot only said its name, but now it can repeat whole sentences, sing songs, and even imitate the neighbour's laugh. She says that although parrots can live for over sixty years, taking care of one is a huge responsibility."
